Baseball and Education

Baseball reminds me a lot about education.  Here is what I've learned over the years.  Interpret as you may : )

1.  The game isn't over until it's over - no matter how early you leave to beat traffic.
2.  Don't wait until the bottom of the ninth to do what you should have done in the first - no matter how much heart you put into trying to win.
3.  Have fun - the more you approach the game as a job the more tedious it becomes.
4.  Sometimes you see more from the outfield seats.
5.  Stay awake and focused - you never know what a ball will fly towards you.
6.  You have nine innings to get your stuff done, that's a hard deadline! (unless you're tied)
7.  Practice never hurts, especially when each pitch in practice can be a home run.
8.  Each game day is a new opportunity, don't waste it and don't dwell on what happened the day before.
